Location & Driving Map

Summit Motor Lodge is located in Tauranga, the biggest city in the Bay of Plenty region on the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand.

One of New Zealand's warmest regions, the Bay of Plenty enjoys the second highest amount of sunshine hours in the country.

Conveniently located in a manicured garden setting less than five minutes drive from Tauranga's town centre, Summit Motor Lodge offers easy access to excellent shopping and the vibrant restaurant and caf scene on The Strand.

Just across the road from your room at Summit Motor Lodge Tauranga are a small group of local shops, convenient for snacks, a good coffee and a chat with the locals.

Just fifteen minutes relaxed drive away from Summit Motor Lodge Tauranga, is Mount Maunganui. This popular beach resort area is dominated by the stunning heights of Mauao, an extinct volcano jutting out in to the sparkling Bay of Plenty waters. Visit for a walk around the Mount, or brave the climb to the top for some of the Bay's best views, take a swim in the ocean or the local hot pools. Relax in a beachside caf or picnic on the harbour side of town at Pilot Bay and watch the boats sail by.

The Strand provides a superb array of casual and formal dining; opportunities to taste New Zealand cuisine and wine. Restaurants and cafes, pubs, bars and clubs offer all day entertainment in to the small hours of the morning.
